Programs

We offer classes for children ages 18 months to 12 years that are based on the Montessori philosophy of programs presented in three year cycles. The end of each cycle overlaps the next to allow for individual differences, academic and social grouping, and classroom space. Placement in our programs depends on the academic and emotional progress a child has been making. The Educational Director makes the final decision, in consultation with the parents and teachers on the placement of students.

Children's House

The Children's House is a cluster of learning spaces for preschool and kindergarteners aged 18 months to 5 years. Our preschool programs are distinguished by length of day to accommodate varying needs of family and child, while the kindergarten program follows a typical school day schedule.

Half Day (Preschool)

  • Time: 9:00 - 11:45
  • Age: 18 months - 4 years
The half-day program is an excellent way to transition young children into the Montessori classroom.

Full Day (Preschool)

  • Time: 9:00 - 3:00
  • Age: 18 months - 4 years
The full-day program provides children with a complete, thoughtful, and individualized educational experience based on Montessori methods.

All Day (Preschool)

  • Time: 7:30 - 5:00
  • Age: 18 months - 4 years
The all day program follows the full day program with before and after school care.

Kindergarten

  • Time: 9:00 - 3:00
  • Age: 5 (by Oct 1)
Our kindergarten program provides the educational scope of a traditional kindergarten program with additional flexibility provided by Montessori methods to individualize for each child.

Elementary

The elementary program has two phases:
  • Lower elementary, grades 1 - 3
  • Upper elementary, grades 3 - 6
The phases correspond with the Montessori triads and children at different grade levels interact in a common classroom setting with academic differentiation. Grouping allows for mentoring of younger students and leadership opportunities for older students, while the individualized educational programs ensure students' academic growth and development.

Child Care

We provide before and after school care for preschool, kindergarten, and elementary children.

  • Before school: 7:30 - 8:45
  • After school: 3:00 - 5:00
